Dr. John Bush, Inter/Tribal Council of AZ (South)
A San Carlos Apache tribal member in Arizona, Dr. Bush brings 32 years of educational experience to the Board of Regents. His undergraduate years were spent at Haskell Indian Jr. College, Eastern Arizona Jr. College and Northern Arizona University. He has earned a Bachelor's, Master's and a Doctorate degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. He is the first to earn advanced degrees in education from his Tribe. His job experiences include being a high school teacher, Principal, and ended his career as Superintendent of San Carlos Unified School District. In addition- he has been elected four terms to the San Carlos Apache Tribal Council. He is a strong advocate for community college first as a pathway to advanced education.
